2) Tier I/II reporting Deadline is end of business day, March 1, 2010.

Detail: Facilities that are covered by 40 CFR 370 must submit a Tier I or Tier II forms to their Local Emergency Planning Committee, State Emergency Response Commission and local fire department. 3)    Hazardous Waste Report – EPA Form 8700-13 A/B due by March 1, 2010 at EPA Regional Offices.

Detail: The report is part of an on-going information collection mechanism from hazardous waste generators, and hazardous waste treatment, storage or disposal facilities. The collection is done on a two-year cycle as required by Sections 3002 and 3004 of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). 4)    Hazardous Waste Export Report – Annual, due by March 1, 2010

Detail: Annual reports must be filed by facilities that export hazardous waste outside the US. The requirement is outlined in 40 CFR 262.56 and 262.87. 5)    Pesticide Production Annual report – Due by March 1, 2010.

Detail: Any facility that produces a pesticide, active pesticide ingredient or pesticide device is subject to FIRFA Section 7 and is required to register with the EPA. The regulation that specifies those who must report this activity is at 40 CFR subsection 167.85 (a). 6)    “OSHA Listens” – Live Webcast of Public Meeting March 4, 2010, 9 AM EST.

Detail: A Live webcast of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) public meeting, “OSHA Listens,” to solicit comments and suggestions from OSHA stakeholders on key issues facing the agency. 7)    EPA’s RMP* eSubmit Webinar – March 17, 2010 1 pm EST.

Detail: In March 2009, EPA provided new Web-based software called RMP*eSubmit for facilities to use for online Risk Management Plan (RMP) reporting. RMP*eSubmit allows facilities to submit, correct, and access their RMPs online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. EPA asks that all facilities use this new method to submit RMPs because it is easy to use and will improve data quality. EPA will hold a free Webinar on this new software. 8)    Submission to DSL surveys office for CEPA, deadline is March 30, 2010, 3 pm, EST.

Detail: The Chemicals Management Plan of CEPA (Canadian Environmental Protection Act) request data on the manufacture or import (to Canada) of substances on the DSL (Domestic Substances List) that are manufactured or imported in amounts over 1 kilo (220. 462 lbs). 9)    Water Sense Eligibility for Partner of the Year Award Deadline – Friday, April 9, 2010.

Detail: WaterSense is now accepting applications for the 2010 Partner of the Year awards, which will recognize partners’ activities performed from January through December 2009.  Applicants selected to receive awards will be recognized during the 2010 WaterSense Awards Banquet. 10)           TRI for 2009 deadline is on or before midnight, July 1, 2010. 

Detail: Under EPCRA Section 313, inform public and government officials about release and other waste management of toxic chemicals that are entering air, land, water and waste). The chemicals include the approximately 650 chemicals on the Section 313 list. Form R (Long form) or Form A can be electronically submitted on EPA’s website and Safetec experts can assist with your preparation.
